I am thrilled to slip back into the role of Despina in Mozart’s Così fan tutte for an intimate private house concert. A master of schemes, sarcasm, and perfectly timed meddling, Despina is one of Mozart’s funniest creations, and I absolutely love embracing her bold humor and theatrical sparkle. I first performed scenes from Così fan tutte during a scenes concert at Utah Valley University while completing my undergraduate degree in Vocal Performance, and returning to this role feels like a joyful reunion. Revisiting Despina offers the chance to lean even further into her wit, charm, and playful irreverence, and I can’t wait to share her mischief in this unique and up-close performance setting.
