"Mother Abbess taught me dignity and composure as a rambunctious and expressive child. She also taught me to 'Climb every mountain, Ford every stream, Follow every rainbow, 'Till you find your dream.'"
- Linnea Miner Mott
Mother Abbess quietly personifies patience and love while simultaneously being uncompromising of her beliefs and the rules of the abbey. She is a deep thinker, gentle in her movements, and refrains from lecturing or putting harsh judgment on a disobedient, but well meaning nun, Maria. This role opened quiet reflection to me.
Playing the role of Mother Abbess at such a young age stretched me and opened my mind to being still, finding resolve in quiet moments, and exercising self restraint. Mother Abbess taught me dignity and composure as a rambunctious and expressive child. She also taught me to "Climb every mountain, Ford every stream, Follow every rainbow, 'Till you find your dream."
