Ever wonder what it’s like to hear daring, showy coloratura art songs with charming orchestration live on stage? That’s exactly what I’ll be singing — Tais-toi, babillard and Dieu vous garde by Darius Milhaud — alongside the USU Symphony Orchestra. I’m honored to be one of just eight performers featured in this year’s concerto competition winners’ program, which will also showcase an incredible mix of instruments and musical specialties, from piano, cello, violin, and saxophone to voice. The evening will include a world premiere by student composer and pianist Adam Bowen, making it a night of both beloved classics and fresh, exciting music.
